Join the growing movement toward green burial and simpler, less-costly, more natural funerals. It’s best to plan ahead and not wait until the last minute. All this is still new to many folks (even though what we are talking about are ancient, time-honored traditions). It is going to take a generation for us to change the landscape of funeral care in the US.

One big challenge I’m facing this week is I’m taking a course on Advance Care Planning. I have to look very thoroughly at my own advance plans. Wow! I’m not as prepared as I should be! I haven’t really had “the conversation” with my own adult children! Or my primary care doctor. It’s about time, don’t you think? How shall I broach the subject?…
