On November 3, 2013, (the celebration of All Saints Day) Merilynne Rush will give an introduction to home funeral and green burial at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Howell after their morning service. The 1-hour presentation includes information about conventional funeral practices, legal and practical information about how to care for your own dead, the benefits of home funeral to family and community and information about green burial and where it is available locally. A photo essay of several families who had a home funeral and/or natural burial is included. There will be a question and answer time at the end. The church is located at 504 Prospect Street, Howell, MI 48843. The service starts at 10:30 and the program will start at 11:45, after coffee and snacks.
